The project aims to carry out a transnational pilot project for integrating stock management systems and e-commerce in the vocational training of commercial staff in the retail trade

ReSyE-Co will develop transnational vocational training material for the integration of web-enabled stock management systems in business-to-business and business-to-consumer relations in e-commerce.

The idea is to improve quality and encourage innovation in vocational training for the retail trade. In addition, the vocational training material will provide a basis for European certification of stock management systems on the internet. Hosted on North-Rhine Westphalia's education server, this internet-based project has partners in I, A, UK and CZ and is intended to lead to a transnational data and competence network to which social partners, stake-holders and economic multipliers can be gradually linked.

Development will be based around a model company on the internet. Initially, a training and operating practice is to be developed to offer evaluated teaching and learning solutions to the retail trade. The project aims to give the traditional retail trade in Europe with its proven local marketing and distribution forms the qualifications it needs to operate at European level. This calls for internet-based marketing and distribution forms suitable also for small retailers.

The findings of the project are to be incorporated in vocational training, via trade chambers and associations, for the retail trade in particular, leading to a uniform training standard for electronic stock management systems as an integral part of commercial training.
