Educational Programme which Directly Meets the Needs of Adults in European Countries
30 Ianuarie 2003
FHS combines traditional, original and creative methods for adult education by means of the ICT
Today, we come across increasing difficulties between current methods and current needs, particularly for so-called excluded and alienated groups.
The objectives of this project are to combine the resources of FHSs in PL, DK, DE and SE and to develop, (by using systematic research, brainstorming, seminars, workshops and conferences, new and appropriate methods in adult education).
The aim is to include these excluded and alienated groups so they can play an active part in society and contribute rather than be marginalised from it.
The outputs of the project will be in the form of lectures and a series of training courses.
There will first be pilot courses and the knowledge and experiences gained will be used for further dissemination throughout the whole Europe.
There will also be books published, and information distributed via CDs, websites and TV programmes.
The project will practically demonstrate that it is possible to create modern ideas in adult education by using comparative analysis of current educational needs and finding the best solutions. This ''School for Life'' will provide valuable and practical answers to the XXI century challenges in civic and self-education.

Exploring the possibilities of the flexible open classroom in adult learning
30 Ianuarie 2003
The project aims at improving adult learning by sharing experiences and developping new ideas through a network of teachers and learners.
Thematic Network
The changes in the recent years within economy, technology and social patterns will influence the methods for and organisation of adult learning in the future Europe. In different parts of Europe different approaches prevail. Technology has now made it possible to share these ideas to a much greater extent than before.
Therefore the project is aimed at establishing a network in order to expand and enrich the national and regional focus within adult learning to be able to share experiences, develop new ideas and investigate similarities and differences.
The main idea in this pedagogical approach is that the students on an independent, voluntary basis get the possibility to learn at their own speed and based on their individual qualifications and experiences. This will normally also lead to a change in the teacher's role, as this person will be obliged to step out of his or her traditional role and give advice and help based on the individual student's needs and wants, and become more of a partner than an authority speaking from above.

Early Foreign Language Learning and Information Communication Technology Network - France, Italy, United Kingdom
29 Ianuarie 2003
The project aims at integrating ICTs in the teaching of foreign languages.

Mobilising the potential infrastructure of lifelong learning.
29 Ianuarie 2003
The project aims at collecting good examples of lifelong learning activities to encourage cooperation among adult educators.
The projects objective is to encourage co-operation among adult educators and others, all over Europe. The project is a kind of ''marketing campaign'' built on a theoretically constructed order on co-operation in adult education and a database with good examples, supplemented with a web site, a book and a conference to communicate it all.
The target group is all persons working with adult education - especially decision makers - and others that might have something to contribute. Main activities will be collected of good examples and systematising them into a kind of taxonomy and a data-base.
Outputs :
The taxonomy will be a tree - on the screen. The good examples could be reached either from the tree or by ordinary database searching.
The book will contain the taxonomy and the best of the examples. It will be more like a marketing booklet than a report. Examples of agreement about co-operation, etc. will be included.
On the web-site the visitors will be able not only to see how the taxonomy and the database develops but also make their own contributions.
At the conference there will be wokrshops for discussions and exchange of experiences, plus plenary meetings for group-reports, i.e. adding ''results'' to the taxonomy

REVANSCH !

The objective is based on a need that the handicap organisations have called attention
to, namely to train people with own disabilities in leadership
to, namely to train people with own disabilities in leadership
The project is based on the social problem reflected in investigations and scientific research: ''The majority of mentally disabled are left out when it comes to degree of knowledge and education''. In combination with disabilities and other people's prejudices this makes a normal life difficult or impossible, e.g. in entering the labour market.
The project points to the creating of new ways to recruit and a pedagogical educational method / generator of initiative, combined with ICT's possibilities and actual opportunities of work practise.
The project is permeated by a conscious strategy, increasing the understanding of
transnational belonging and mutual dependence, for instance through an integrated base
of training and development. A virtual network where all actors are active through an
individual platform.
The web site will secure a high degree of users and promote the use of multiple languages. The transnational teamwork generates understanding for own and other people's needs.
The identity is strengthened and one can recapture one's life. Ways of recruitment, educational methods / experiences and effects will be produced in the form of in a guidebook and a handbook for further distribution.

More Active Citizenship for Disabled Persons by Distance Education
29 Ianuarie 2003
The aim of the project is that people with learning disabilities get, keep and develop their contact with society through distance education via the ICTs
The disabled have smaller possibilities than other citizens to take part in ODL. This is particularly true regarding people with learning disabilities, who are the target group of the project. Persons with dysfunctions also have less access to computer equipment and less knowledge of the usage of computers. This is a threat against their citizenship, since ICT plays a greater part in society.
The project will develop and carry out ICT supported distance courses, and furthermore present study centres as social and pedagogical meeting points.
The project will give special pedagogical adaptation of distance courses as well as the software and websites being used in these.
The teachers and instructors of the distance courses will receive retraining. A handbook is to be compiled for this purpose.
Expected results
- more active citizenship for persons with learning disabilities by means of special pedagogically adapted distance courses, web-learning environments and learning centres.
- better education for teachers and instructors working with the target group
- special pedagogical ODL handbook for the target group.

The project aims at improving the opportunities of training of adults older than 45 through the ICTs
a. Former des formateurs aux potentialités du multimédia dans le domaine de l'écriture créative ;
b. Initier des adultes de plus de 45 ans aux nouvelles technologie dans le cadre d' ateliers d'écriture ;
