The objective of the project lies in development and testing of a new Management course based on flexible combination of innovative open and distance learning methodologies.

The project FLEXEMAN has three main objectives.

Firstly it is the development and testing of new European environmental management course based on the means of flexible combination of innovative open and distance learning methodologies.

Secondly, it is the development and testing of inventive and tailored methodologies of open and distance learning. Thirdly, the project will result in development of a tailored software package making it easier to further disseminate the outcomes of this project and elaborate new projects.

The project is targeted on environmental SMEs and potential new entrepreneurs in the subject area. Duration of the project will be 2 years. Main activities can be described as follows:

1. Curriculum development;
2. Design of methodologies;
3. Course material development;
4. Pilot course delivery;
5. Dissemination and evaluation of results;
6. Co-ordinating meetings.

Regarding expected outcomes and products, the project will result in development of three important products. These are the new European environmental management course with European dimension and innovative curriculum, the unique open and distance learning methodologies and an original software package based on the Internet environment. Additional to this, it is important that the project will lead to creation of network of professionals in the subject area capable of future co-operation. Dissemination of know-how, development of new skills and, virtually, creation of new working opportunities and opportunities for self-employment will be other very important results.
