CALL FOR PAPERS: OPEN TOPICS. eLearning Papers launches a call for papers on open topics. We are looking for interesting and inspiring articles which will be published in September's issue. Practical experiences on European projects are especially welcome. The deadline for article submissions is 15 June 2009. Read more here 

PROJECT OF THE MONTH. HEXTLEARN is a network project aiming to contribute to the deployment of lifelong learning strategies through ICT within higher education institutions. Co-funded by the Lifelong Learning programme, the project has articulated an international community of higher education institutions willing to share their experiences on different ways to use ICT: support to campus students, distance education, continuous education, cooperation with enterprises and regional development projects and training of teachers. M-2009 CONFERENCE, 7-10 June 2009, Maastricht, The Netherlands. The M-2009 - 23rd ICDE World Conference on Open Learning and Distance Education, including the 2009 EADTU Annual Conference, will cover this year a range of important topics in ODL, such as: open educational resources, virtual mobility, quality assurance, technology enhanced learning, learner support services, employability, cultural diversity, breaking barriers and international cooperation and development. IADIS eLearning 2009 Conference, 17-20 June 2009, Algarve, Portugal. This event will cover both the technical and the non-technical aspects of eLearning.
