Viešasis profilis Ari-Matti Auvinen

Mr. Ari-Matti Auvinen (Senior Partner, HCI Productions Oy) is a widely known expert in distance education and eLearning. His Master of Arts degree is from the University of Helsinki and his Master of Business Administration degree is from the Helsinki University of Technology. He has a long experience as a consultant and trainer, including assignments in Finland, Europe and USA for HEIs and companies, and also European Commission, World Bank and UN organizations.

He works also as the Chair of the Network of Academics and Professionals of EDEN (European Distance and E-Learning Network) and as the Board member of the Finnish eLearning Centre. In the past, he has served as a member of the Board of Directors of EFQUEL (European Foundation for Quality in eLearning) and as the Chair of the Finnish Association for Distance Education. In 2007-2009 he was the project leader of an EU-funded project “Quality Management of Peer Production of eLearning”. At the moment, he leads also the further development in Finland of the Finnish “eLearning Quality Mark”.
