Public profile Christine Redecker

Christine Redecker is a scientific officer at the Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (IPTS), based in Seville (http://ipts.jrc.ec.europa.eu). Her research activities focus on the potential of ICT for Learning, Innovation and Creativity, but she is also involved in research projects on ICT for Inclusion and Health. Recently she has completed a major research project on “Learning 2.0”, investigating the potential of social media for enhancing learning opportunities inside formal education and training, and informally, in learning communities and online networks. Christine holds a PhD in Philosophy of Mathematics and has a research profile in didactics. Before joining the IPTS in 2008 she worked several years in education, as a secondary school teacher, as teacher trainer and university lecturer.
