Study on Teacher Education for Primary and Secondary Education in Six Countries of the Eastern Partnership: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine

A regional and comparative mapping of teacher education and training systems in the six Eastern Partnership countries. The study recommends increased standardisation for qualification requirements for teachers, a renewed focus on teacher training and modernised teaching methods with the ultimate goal of closer integration with the EU in this area.

Distance education and eLearning practices: In Turkey and Eastern countries

This study presents a socio-policital and historical review of the introduction of distance and elearning practices in Turkey and in Eastern Europe and discusses the challenges and opportunities posed by the growing presence of ICT in an increasingly globalized higher education environment.
The work makes a significant contribution, in English, to the state of the art of elearning and distance education in Eastern European countries.
