European Council adopts a general approach on Erasmus for All

On Thursday 11 May, the Council of the EU adopted a general approach on the new integrated Erasmus for All programme proposed by the European Commission. This will replace the current education, training and youth programmes for the 2014-2020 period, and add a new dimension, sport.

Cyfrowa szkoła i nowe umiejętności: program pilotażowy rządu

Summary:

Rada Ministrów przyjęła dzisiaj program pilotażowy Cyfrowa Szkoła. To pierwszy, ważny krok do przejścia polskich szkół z „epoki kredy” do ery cyfrowej. Wyniki pilotażu będą bowiem miały wpływ na planowany wieloletni program cyfryzacji szkół. Pilotaż będzie trwał od 4 kwietnia 2012 roku do 31 sierpnia 2013 roku i obejmie ok. 380 publicznych szkół podstawowych. Mają z niego skorzystać przede wszystkim uczniowie klas IV-VI.

Since the relaunch of the portal in May 2011, the number of members has increased to over 37.000, a new content management system has been introduced and users have published, shared and discussed opinions in blogs and communities. To celebrate the first anniversary of the new eLearningeuropa.info portal, we are launching a competition on 1 June.

The most active users of the portal between 1 and 30 June 2012 will be awarded a prize.

EU funds "Sector Skills Alliances" - Call for proposals

With the objective of preparing the successful implementation of the future programme "Erasmus for all" the Commission has launched a call for proposals for "Sector Skills Alliances".

Sector Skills Alliances will promote cooperation between three categories of partners: the world of education and training (VET providers); sector-specific expertise (including social partners, sectoral federations, Chambers etc.); and bodies involved in education and training systems (public or private bodies or authorities).

iPads an der Universität Augsburg: Projekt "UniPAd"

Summary:

Die Professur für Mediendiaktik am Institut für Medien und Bildungstechnologie der Universität Augsburg widmet sich ab dem Sommersemester 2012 gezielt der Frage nach dem Einfluss und den Möglichkeiten von diesen neuen, mobilen Endgeräten auf das Lehren und Lernen.

Mit dem Projekt "UniPAd" wird ab dem Sommersemester 2012 ein Projekt geschaffen, das sich gezielt mit der empirischen Erforschung der Einflüsse und Nutzungsmöglichkeiten von Tablets beschäftigt. Zu diesem Zweck werden in einem Pilotvorhaben 50 Apple iPad 2 für ein Semester an Studierende des Bachelor- und Masterstudiengangs Medien und Kommunikation ausgegeben.
