Professor Dr. Marc Rittberger joined the German Institute of International Educational Research (DIPF) in 2005 as head of the National Information Centre for Education, since 2008 he is director of the DIPF. He holds a degree in Physics and a PhD in Information Science. Since 2005 he holds a chair in Information Management at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. Previously he was a visiting Professor at the University of
Düsseldorf and held a chair at HEG Genève in Information Science. Professor Rittberger is member of the executive committee of the Higher Education Association for Information Science in Germany and of the Leibniz Association. He is also member of the scientific advisory boards of the Know-Center-Graz, the Institut National de Recherche Pédagogique and the German National Library of Economics (ZBW) – Leibniz Information Centre for Economics.
