My name is Silvia Tomescu I am Bachelor of Letters -Bucharest University from 1997. During 1997-2003 I war trainer librarian at teacher training House Bacau. As librarian trainer I was involved in the training of librarians and education and culture promotion. In 2000 I passed the tenure exam in Librarianship and Information Science Bucharest University. In 2001 I benefited of a Socrates Comenius stage “Training through videoconference“ in Detmold Germnay and in the same year I become PHD researcher in Philology at Bucharest University with the research theme:” The use of modern communication system as teaching learning and training means in distance higher education- study case elearning librarians training “.
In april 2003 I attended the Soctates Grundtvig Course: “Electronic Learning, tele-teaching, tele-coaching and adult education” in Bruxelles. In august 2003 I attended the International Conference organized by Wane State University “Virtual Library : Information acces democratization” in Constantza Romania.
From 2003 to 2007 I was director of Bacau County Public Library where I had the mission to promote information , education and culture throuth traditional and modern means. I designed the library portal and I created a web opac in order users to acces from distance the library resources.
From 2007 I am librarian at Poltical Scinece Faculty Bucharest and I counsel student in online data base search and accession I am incharged with books cataloging and indexing and distance reference for researchers teachers and students also.
