A Virtual Learning Journey on Community Reporting Training

The Virtual Learning Bus platform, resulting from the work of the   LLP  project ISABEL is on line. It is an open source  Virtual Learning Journey on Isabel's project results and openly available multilingual resources. This "bus"  will take you on a journey around the world of Community Reporting, with carefully designed "bus stops" that are full of all the information you need to successfully run and manage your very own Community Reporter programme and /or adapting it to other kind of Web.2.0-based learning. This resource has been devised as a sustainable tool for the re-use of the ISABEL project methodology, activities and results.

It is an open source  Virtual Learning Journey on Isabel's project results and openly available multilingual resources. This "bus"  will take you on a journey around the world of Community Reporting, with carefully designed "bus stops" that are full of all the information you need to successfully run and manage your very own Community Reporter programme and /or adapting it to other kind of Web.2.0-based learning. This resource has been devised as a sustainable tool for the re-use of the ISABEL project methodology, activities and results. The bus will make four stops on its journey – as a trainer or educator this means you can prepare for and plan your sessions with confidence and access the resources you need for each session. You can spend as much or as little time in each of the stops as your learners need and it is conceived that Community Reporter trainees may go on several loops of the journey, as they become competent in different areas of media production.

The four stops cover the following areas:

·         First Station: PRESENTATION

·         Second Station: TRAINING

·         Third Station: PRODUCTION

·         DESTINATION!

Within each station you will find a range of materials that have been tried and tested on other groups – this way, the best learning is ready to be shared by existing facilitators with you. Materials include lesson plans, outlines and graphical support materials,  video and audio documentation, including video evaluations from other learners, which can be a real asset in bringing the training to life for new learners. 

By January 2013, your project  will be able to co-manage the platform, adding to the stations' goals,  uploading materials and resources and therefore enriching the data base.

Kvalitetsevaluering af e-learning ved hjælp af et internationalt peer-bedømmelsesfællesskab

Artiklens formål er at præsentere ”Open ECBCheck”, en ny ordning til certificering og kvalitetsforbedring af e-learning, når det gælder opbygning af kapacitet. Modellen støtter organisationer, der arbejder med kapacitetsopbygning, for at måle, hvor succesrige deres e-learning-programmer er, og giver mulighed for løbende at forbedre dem via peer-samarbejde og benchlearning. ”Open ECBCheck” udgør et aktivt kvalitetsmiljø, som giver sine medlemmer adskillige fordele ved på den ene side at have adgang til værktøj og retningslinjer for deres eget arbejde, og på den anden ved at være i stand til at opnå et fællesskabsbaseret kvalitetsmærke.
Certificeringsordningen er blevet udviklet gennem en demokratisk process med organisationer inden for kapacitetsopbygning, som er blevet grundigt interviewet mht. deres krav til en ny certificeringsordning. I en anden fase blev de eksisterende standarder og certifikater som f.eks. UNIQUE, EFMD CEL eller ISO/IEC 19796-1 vurderet for at se, om de opfylder disse krav, eller om dele af de eksisterende standarder og certifikater kunne indarbejdes i ordningen. Endelig foreslås der, som beskrevet i denne artikel, en plan til en certificering, herunder en beskrivelse af arkitekturen, definitionen af kvalitetskriterier og tilhørende indikatorer samt en definition af en certificeringsproces.

Resultaterne af omfattende analyser tyder på, at organisationer inden for kapacitetsopbygningsområdet generelt har en stor interesse i at opnå et kvalitetsmærke. I de fleste tilfælde er organisationerne interesserede i et værktøj, som støtter måling og forbedring af effektiviteten, hvilket bidrager til at sikre e-learning-programmers succes og gør det muligt at benchmarke i forhold til andre organisationer.

Den analyse, vi præsenterer i denne artikel, viser også, at organisationer er forskellige med hensyn til udbredelsen af e-learning inden for deres aktiviteter med henblik på kapacitetsopbygning. For at indarbejde disse forskelle er der blevet udviklet et mærke med to muligheder: et til enkelte programmer og et andet til institutioner.
