European Qualification Strategies in Information and Communications Technology

"EUQuaSIT" aims to survey reference material on national (D, P, NL, CZ, RO) and system-related structures and profiles in vocational training provision in Europe in the field of information and communications technology.

Particular account will be taken of programmes and measures for disadvantaged groups and for women. Model surveys to determine company requirements for staff qualifications in information and communications technology will provide a basis for comparison in order to determine the need for external training provision in companies.

The main target groups and users of the project are SMEs, vocational training establishments, vocational schools, workers, white-collar employees and young people in initial training, together with national and European decision-makers.

The social partners, trade unions and chambers of commerce will be involved as well. The dissemination of the study results will target national and European policy-making bodies and the social partners. The results will be presented in printed form, as individual reports on the Internet, on CD-ROM and in discussion fora.
